The Hub Motor by Ampbike can be added to any Sidewinder. The motor replaces the rear wheel and give a 600 watt, or 250 watt geared, 36 volt system which will take the Sidewinder upto 20 mph with a range of 10 to 15 miles. The direct drive motor with Jell Cell battery weight aproximately 50#. The geared motor with a Li-Mn battery add approximately 25# to the cycle weight. The Li-Mn upgrade is $1157.00 The advantage being full power outout for the full charge, and the Li-Mn can also be charged between 1000 and 1500 times as compared to 200 for the jell cell.
